Summer is underway...
and we've seen so much of God's good work through our ministry already. Christian Youth in Action training wrapped up last week, and students are equipped and ready for ministry through 5-Day Clubs starting up soon. We're ready for a summer of impact! |
Ready through Christian Youth in Action |
From June 7th to 18th, 69 students from across Minnesota were trained and equipped through Christian Youth in Action. They were equipped in classes, worked with teams and mentors to practice and present the Gospel, geared up on 5-Day Club curriculum, grew their faith through chapel and devotions, and built lifelong memories. Check out the recap video to catch a glimpse of the equipping, emboldening, and transformation students experienced this year. God was at work! |
12 students from the Great River area were equipped at training. We're so excited for the team that has been built this summer - it's more than double the size of last year's Great River CYIA team! These students each have a heart to bring the Gospel to kids and deepen their relationship with Christ. |

After week one at Crown College with CYIA students from around the state, Great River summer missionaries got hands-on training experience during week two in Buffalo. They taught real kids at "practice clubs" and worked hard at preparing lessons and having them evaluated by staff.
Speaking of staff, four former CYIA missionaries served as summer staff, leading and mentoring students as team leaders and guides. Thanks to Alissa, Mikayla, Mylie, and Malayna for their hard work pouring into these students! |
Starting July 6th, these 12 students will go out to lead 5-Day Clubs in Buffalo, Willmar, Annandale, Benson, Hutchinson, Lester Prairie, Watertown, Monticello, and beyond. So many kids in these communities need the Gospel. We're excited to be partnering with churches to host on their property, families to host in parks or backyards, and more.
We're praying to reach 500 children with the Gospel through 5-Day Clubs - there's still time to host a club! We have a few openings remaining in our summer schedule. If you're ready to impact your neighborhood, it's simple: CEF provides the teaching team and curriculum, and you get the chance to build relationships with your neighborhood as you invite families and provide a location and snack. Be a vessel for Gospel hope, and be supported in your ministry by CEF!
We need 30 5-Day Clubs locations to reach 500 kids this summer. Our mission is to pray and act, that God would bring the increase.

Prayer Points:
- Pray for CYIA summer missionaries, that they would grow in Christ this summer as they teach. Pray for spiritual strength against the enemy's temptations.
- Pray for 5-Day Club hosts, that they would joyfully invite and build relationships with families so many kids can attend their club and hear the Gospel! Pray for boldness and against temptation and busyness.
- Pray for the last minute details and planning of summer ministry!
- Pray for the hearts of children in our communities, that they would open to hearing and receiving the Gospel. Pray for many to come to clubs and be changed.
- Pray for more 5-Day Club locations to finalize during this next week.
- Pray for Peter as he coordinates summer ministry efforts and completes CEF HQ training.
