My name is JoAnne O'Connell and I am the new volunteer coordinator with WFS! I am so looking forward to being part of this amazing group of 4C women. I look forward to making connections, and helping women connect, while sharing our commitment to living our best lives!

Each month I will be sending  out opportunities for you to get involved. Below  are some of the volunteer opportunities available for the month of November.  Please let me know if you are interested and we will make it happen! 

Conference

In case you missed it our in-person conference will be June 24-26, 2022 in Portland Oregon. We will also have a virtual event in the Fall, date TBD.

Sponsorship & Fundraising Workgroup - Are you that person who does a great job of rounding up prizes for your local bazaar? Or do you have school, Scouts, or other fundraising experience? Anyone who loves to reach out and contact folks can contribute. You can help us to find sponsors who would love to share their message or product to this unique and influential group of 4C women!

Marketing & Communication Workgroup – Do you have a flair for writing? Love to post on social media and see your words on a website? This group helps to write copy to build excitement and share WFS Conference information with participants and partners. You’ll collaborate a variety of communications to help make this face2face conference fun and easy to register for and attend!

Logistics Workgroup – If you love organization, this is the group for you! Maybe you can provide “boots on the ground” insight? Or maybe you’re willing to help before and during the conference, coordinating with the college and presenters needs? Want to help find venues for future events? You’ll be a part of creating an awesome event this year and help shape the vision for future conferences!  

WFS Online

Forum Management Team (1 year minimum sobriety) - This important team of volunteers helps keep our WFS Online community safe and functioning smoothly! Review new registrations, answer how-to questions, and respond to requests for help. As we migrate to our new platform, we are looking to expand this team of dedicated women to ensure a smooth transition. Some comfort with internet use required, but does not require advanced tech skills.

WFS Online Communications Coordinator – This is a new role but an important one! Our new site will have a special place for organizational and community announcements – new meetings, current fundraising campaigns, volunteer recruitment, etc. This position will gather requests from our various WFS Teams, organize them on a schedule, and post/unpost the news as needed. Someone who enjoys organizing and is fairly tech savvy will be a good fit for this position.
