The Executive Forum, comprised of senior leaders of chapters and organizational affiliates of The Arc of Illinois, holds an annual Leadership Conference. Its purpose is to bring together executive directors, key organizational personnel, and other thought leaders to facilitate discussions related to contemporary issues faced by the IDD service sector. The Arc of Illinois Executive Forum Leadership Conference will be an in-person two-day event with speakers and networking opportunities.

Welcome to the final week of the Spring legislative session! While they are scheduled to adjourn on Friday, May 24, they very well could stay working in Springfield until May 31. Let’s see what happens!

Your Advocacy Matters!
REV UP Illinois and The Family Transition Project were on hand at theShapiro Developmental Center Community Transition Resource Fair on May 10, 2024. Residents were able to indicate their interest in registering to vote with Larry Biondi Fellowship recipient and The Arc of Illinois Advocacy Award winner, Curtis Harris, and learn more about The Arc of Illinois’ Family Transition Project through the Director, Greg Walkington.Sue O’Connor, a Mentor of The Arc of Illinois was also there to talk with the residents about the benefits of community Living. Voting is one of the most important rights we have! Reach out to carole@thearcofil.org for more information on our upcoming REV UP Illinois Coalition kick off meeting. Coalition participants will be taking on issues such as voter outreach, increasing election accessibility, building civic engagement, and growing visibility. We want to support you as an organization or an individual in making the disability vote matter!
