Earth Day is Every Day!

At Challenge Mountain, we believe adventure is for everyone. Whether it's feeling the wind on a bike trail, exploring wooded paths or skiing down snowy slopes, our adaptive recreational programs make it possible for people living with disabilities to experience the joys many take for granted.

This Earth Day, we're celebrating more than just the planet.

The Challenge Mountain Resale Store gives new life to gently used items while generating critical funding for year-round programming. Every donation, every purchase and every volunteer hour at the Resale Store helps create outdoor adventures and life-enriching moments for children and adults with disabilities.

More than Just Another Thrift Store.

Every time you choose secondhand over brand new, you're giving back. Challenge Mountain Resale Store in Boyne City is more than a haven for bargain hunters—it’s the heart of a mission. Since 1986, the Challenge Mountain Resale Store has helped to fund adaptive recreation programs, giving items a second chance and people new opportunities.

Assistant Store Manager Alaina Farrington (pictured above) calls it “the circle of life” for donated goods. Whether you're in it for sustainability, community impact or the thrill of the unexpected, this is thrifting with purpose.

Thank you to the Hotel Walloon, Barrel Back Restaurant, Legacy Water Sports and Marina, and Chill AF for hosting the event to raise funds and bring awareness for our mission.
