THE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD EFFECT

This month, Science Olympiad CEO Jenny Kopach and Science Olympiad Alumni Research (SOAR) Grant winner Jolly Patro joined the American Chemical Society Chicago Section’s September meeting for a fireside chat. Jolly shared how Science Olympiad inspired her chemistry research journey at Northwestern University, and Jenny talked about how to inspire the next generation through hands-on chem learning.

Atwell Expands Support for STEM Education

On September 2, Atwell welcomed local Science Olympiad coaches to its Maryland office to discuss ways employees can support STEM programs in their community. Atwell Gives Foundation is the National Title Sponsor of the Urban Schools Initiative (USI). After backing teams in Texas, Michigan, and Georgia this past school year, Atwell is growing its reach in 2026-2027 with new support for teams in Colorado, Maryland, and Florida—plus more resources to help students prepare for competition.
