ENEAS PROJECT - COMMUNITY STEPS UP
In late December, 2 wildlife cameras were stolen from our Eneas Project - an incredibly frustrating experience not for just the loss of the cameras and the financial impacts of replacing them, but for the lost images too. These cameras are collecting important predator-deer interactions along with monitoring wildlife gate use.
When the community steps up to support us, wildlife wins. Hardcore Archery & Hunting heard about the camera thefts and donated a trail camera to the project. We cannot thank begin to express our gratitude - this type of generosity makes a difference!
In securing the blue snow fence for ungulate visibility, we are learning the hard way how to keep the fence up in a high-wind corridor. A huge shoutout to S & R Sawmills who donated 1560 linear feet of lathe to help us keep our fencing where it's supposed to be!
Eneas Volunteer Hours Milestone - December marked an incredible milestone of volunteer dedication! 1450+ hours donated to our project. If you valued that contribution at just $20/hr, that's almost $30,000 in-kind donated by our members!
