Dear treasured friends,

As winter settles into the Berkshires, Rowe’s landscape transforms into a peaceful snowy retreat. The Sibley Trail reveals a world of hidden life with various animal tracks weaving across the snow, and the warmth of our chapel continues to draw the community together. We were delighted to welcome neighbors to our Frost n’ Flannel event—a cozy afternoon of caroling, crafts, and camaraderie—and once again this past weekend for a special Carry the Flame service led by Rev. Sarah Pirtle and Dr. Molly Scott. Their songs, stories, and singing bowls offered quiet comfort, followed by a simple, soul-warming soup in the Farmhouse.

We’re thrilled to share the success of our recent fundraising challenge:

  • Original match goal: $21,000
  • Donors stepped up with: $38,000+ from 49 supporters
  • Board match added: $21,000
  • Total this round: Nearly $60,000
  • Overall fund so far: Over $222,000!

Your generosity ensures that Rowe can continue to welcome our community, keep the cabins ready for summer, and keep the lights on for every season. Thank you for helping preserve the spirit of Rowe.

While these gifts do not directly fund individual scholarships, they ensure that our facilities remain in good working order, the cabins ready for summer, and the lights on for every season. Your support helps preserve the magic of Rowe so that all can continue to gather, learn, and grow in this special place.  Make a donation today to help us get closer to our goal of $350,000 by the end of the year!

While we look forward to our Centennial Celebration in June (details coming soon!), consider joining us online this winter for a variety of programs, or mark your calendar for the fresh offerings arriving on campus in May. Our accommodations are now open for private retreat rentals, so plan a quiet winter getaway to enjoy a continental breakfast, nearby winter activities, or peaceful fireside reading in The Gathering Room. Come experience the stillness of winter at Rowe and know that your presence and contributions keep this community thriving.

With gratitude,

The Rowe Staff
