Hello John,
October is off to a wonderful start! Thank you to the nearly 300 Members and guests who made our Opening Reception such a success. We welcomed approximately 29 new members that evening, with more joining as Garden Tour news spread across the Island. The reception also gave us the opportunity to showcase our activities, sponsors, and community service providers—demonstrating the real value of Landlovers as a place where neighbors find meaningful ways to connect, discover new interests, contribute their talents, and make a lasting difference across our Island. A special welcome goes to the 80 members of Lanelovers 🎳, one of our newest activities. We are excited to get rolling with them!

Sunday, December 6, is just around the corner and that means it’s time for the annual Landlovers Toys for Tots Holiday Golf Cart Parade & Party.
Donations will be collected for the Savannah Marine Corps Toys for Tot drive. Parade participants should begin to gather by 3:00 PM at the TLA building. Parade watchers are welcome all along the route and to join Landlovers for the After Party which will be held at The Landings Harbor Marina from 3-7, featuring Food Trucks, a Hot Chocolate Stand, the lighting of the Landings Holiday Tree, and a special Holiday performance from local musicians. All the festivities are open to all to Landings Residents. Families, couples, groups, individuals all welcome. New unwrapped toys will be collected along the route and at the Parade After Party.
Can't make the parade, we would love to see you cheer from the parade route. Check the route here. We will be happy to pickup your toys along the way! Thank you in advance for your support of this time honored tradition. |

Your Yellow Card: important information when it matters most
Help emergency responders find important information quickly. Skidaway Island’s 6X8 Yellow Card records your medical history, drug allergies, current medications, emergency contacts, and the location of medical directives. The on-island paramedic and Skidaway Island First Responders are trained to look for it.
Your next steps: complete it, store it, keep it current.
Complete a card for each family member living in your home. Keep each card in a plastic bag inside the refrigerator door, on the right side. Update it whenever your health changes significantly.
Need cards? Pick them up at The Landings Association office, 600 Landings Way South. |
HELP WANTED
No pay. Long hours. Some lifting. The most fun!
Got muscles? Need a new Saturday workout? Think you have an eye for hidden value? Like telling people what to do? Want to be part of something larger than yourself?
Then we hope you’ll volunteer to be part of the “community-powered” engine that helps make Landlovers Flea Market and Auctionmania such an amazing success every year.
As you can imagine, it takes an army of volunteers to gather, sort, price, display, and sell the thousands of items donated to support local students and organizations.
And that’s why we need you.
No matter who you are, or what you can do, there’s plenty of room for you. If you’d like to have a great time working for a great cause, please email Martha Hutchins today so we can find the best fit for you.
Although the thousands of items people donate to this annual event get all the attention, it’s the army of volunteers who deserve the credit for making this signature Landlovers event such a success. And we hope, this year, that will include you. |
