TPP has been a supporter of the St. Mary’s County Science Fair for many years. The Science Fair takes place due to the efforts of the St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair Board. Now is the time to support the upcoming 64th St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair, which is another way to build our STEM pipeline. - Dr. Troy Townsend will serve as the interim director of the Center for the Study of Democracy during the spring semester. Professor Townsend received his PhD from the University of California at Davis. He is an alum of St. Mary's College of Maryland ('07) and a member of the TPP BOD. FAFSA- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the primary resource for receiving federal, state, and institutional aid for college. Marsha Wilcox, Assistant Director of Office of Student Financial Assistance at St. Mary's College of Maryland, will join us to discuss the FAFSA process. The Maryland Department of Commerce has a Business Telework Assistance Grant program, providing grant funding to businesses of up to $25,000 to help them expand their telework capabilities. Grant funds may be used to purchase hardware, software, and technical services. Preference is given to businesses with fewer than 50 employees, a good opportunity to support smaller employers.
