Kensington Corridor Trust Joins Translocal Membership Program
Join us in welcoming Kensington Corridor Trust as our second member of the Translocal Membership Program!
The Kensington Corridor Trust (KCT) seeks to foster the equitable economic revitalization of a commercial corridor and its surrounding neighborhood through local partnerships, strategic programming, and an innovative approach to moving real estate assets out of the speculative private market. Leveraging patient, flexible capital, and a long-term trust vehicle, the KCT intends to de-commodify real estate assets and transition them to neighborhood control. KCT introduces neighborhood-based property control for long-term, equitable revitalization of a key commercial corridor.

Membership in the Translocal Program is by invitation only.
Early this year, we announced that we would begin an experimental voting delegate program to ease the burden of investment list ratification.
Today we are pleased to announce our 2022 Voting Delegation, who will work over the next few weeks to ratify our 2022 Member Investment List. Take a look at the businesses delegates will be reviewing, as well as the reasons community members love them.

Why delegates? In our 2019 and 2021 list ratification process, we asked members to review 140 businesses, then 80, respectively. We learned through staff experience and voter feedback that this was too much information to ask voters to thoughtfully review in a short period of time.
In order to create a more easeful process for Voting Members, we knew we would have to do things differently. Delegates will review no more than ten businesses, and have time to discuss their thoughts with each other.
If you would like to nominate more businesses for our next investment plan fill out a Personalized Investment Form!
