2026 APC AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE AND SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATIONS OPEN!
The Atlanta Press Club Awards of Excellence recognizes Atlanta-based or affiliated journalists for the highest caliber work within a calendar year. Only work published in 2025 is eligible. Journalists may enter their own work or be nominated by someone else. Entries are judged by volunteers from other journalism organizations around the country on quality of content, demonstrated reportorial skill and the impact of their work. Members: $25 per entry; Nonmembers: $45 per entry.
Winners will be celebrated at an awards ceremony in Spring 2026.

Thanks to our Co-Title Internship Sponsor Georgia Power and our annual sponsors, the Atlanta Press Club is able to provide our summer journalism internship program. APC pairs interns with many of Atlanta’s top news organizations, where they receive hands-on experience in writing and reporting. Interns will also receive a standard stipend (see application for more details). Internships will take place between June 1-August 7, 2026 (dates may vary by outlet). Summer internships may be a hybrid of virtual and in-person hours.
