Dear Community Members:
I’m really excited about joining SoCal Adaptive Sports. As a father to a son who is on the Autism spectrum and an uncle to a niece who has a limb difference, I know firsthand the importance of creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to experience the joy, competition, and community that sports provide.
At SoCal Adaptive Sports, our mission is to break down barriers, ensuring that athletes with disabilities have access to high-quality training, competition, and recreational opportunities. Moving forward, I envision strengthening our outreach, growing partnerships with local organizations, and most importantly, securing funding to enhance existing programs while developing new initiatives. I want to see more athletes on the courts, in the pools, on the trail, out on the pitch — wherever their passion leads them. Through inclusion, innovation, and advocacy, we will continue to empower individuals to thrive in sport and in life.
I’m excited for what’s ahead and look forward to working with all of you to make adaptive sports more accessible than ever before and creating greater societal inclusion.
Check out football and cheerleading and our new YMCA program on Thursdays beginning in March!
Please feel free to write to me at chris@socaladaptivesports.org with any suggestions!
