Turning of the Seasons: Rituals and Reflections | Spring Edition 🌱

Join us for Turning of the Seasons: Rituals and Reflections, a four-part series where we gather as a community to honor the rhythms of the year in a meaningful, secular way. Led by Humanist celebrant Megan Sheldon, co-founder of Be Ceremonial, this special Spring Edition will help us welcome the season of renewal with reflection, poetry, music, and shared ritual.

Humanist Canada Book Club: Special Author Event with Nate Hendley

The Humanist Canada Book Club is pleased to welcome acclaimed author Nate Hendley for a special discussion on his latest book, Atrocity on the Atlantic: Attack on a Canadian Hospital Ship During the Great War. This compelling historical account details a shocking war crime—the attack on a Canadian hospital ship by one of the Kaiser's U-boats (or submarines).

Nate Hendley is a respected author, best known for his work in true crime, and a member of Crime Writers of CanadaAtrocity on the Atlantic brings his sharp investigative lens to history, shedding light on an often-overlooked chapter of wartime atrocities.

All Humanist Canada members are encouraged to read the book and join the discussion. This is a unique opportunity to engage directly with the author and explore the ethical, historical, and humanist implications of war crimes and justice.

Humanist Canada is looking for a part-time Independent Contractor – General Manager to provide operational and administrative leadership (25 hours/week). This flexible, remote role offers the opportunity to contribute to a national organization dedicated to advancing humanist values.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors to enhance operational efficiency, membership engagement, fundraising, and governance support. This one-year contract has the potential for renewal.
