       Executive Director Update:

    A Message from Georgia Gould

Hello Friends of Kingdom Trails!

I am so excited to be able to continue my work at KT as the new Executive Director. Trails have a unique power to connect us, and nowhere is that more evident than right here in the Northeast Kingdom. It’s why I moved my family here, and I haven’t looked back since.

I love living here, I love riding here, and I want Kingdom Trails to continue to be a place where people come to explore the trails and spend time outdoors.

I will work hard to ensure that KT remains a world-class model for sustainable recreation and community stewardship and to honor the generosity of our 100+ private landowners.

Kingdom Trails is a unique place with a storied history, and as we move forward I want to ensure that we stay true to our roots and maintain the authentic vibe that makes this place so special. You know it, because you are part of it, so thank you!

Hope to see you out on the trails!

-Georgia

Ride For Mo Gravel Event is This Weekend!

This Saturday, May 9th, the Moriah Wilson Foundation will host the 4th annual Ride for Mo, a community ride honoring Moriah “Mo” Wilson. It’s a day that brings folks together around a shared love of riding—back roads, fresh air, and good company—while supporting youth programming, access to the outdoors, and strong local communities.

Riders will be out on the area’s gravel roads throughout the day, with a post-ride gathering at the Wildflower Inn. While the event is sold out, we’re glad to be part of it and to welcome visitors to the Kingdom.

If you’re out and about, you may notice a few more bikes rolling by than usual—thanks, as always, for extending a warm welcome and ensuring the day will be a success.

More info on the event can be found HERE

   Trail & Operations Update

It’s happening...trails are starting to come back online and the season is waking up. Darling Hill and White School zones are OPEN, and we’re looking ahead to Moose Alley and Moose Haven opening this weekend. Early season conditions in this sector are always a bit soft, but they'll firm up in no time.

Black Bear just got a refresh, and Flying Monkeys is officially buffed out and open for business.

Stormin’ Norman is getting some extra attention this spring and will stay closed while the work is underway. Trust us, it’ll be worth the wait!

Big thanks to our Trail Crew—they’ve been out there putting in the early-season work that makes everything else possible. Clearing blowdowns, fixing winter damage, repairing bridges… it’s a huge lift, and they’re setting us up for a great season.

And if you’re wondering what’s open before you head out, check the interactive map on our website or pull up the Trailforks app for the latest updates.

Get Ready for the Season

2026 Memberships
The season in just getting started, and now is the perfect time to renew your membership. Early support goes a long way this time of year—it helps fund the spring work that gets trails cleared, repaired, and ready to ride as quickly as possible. If you’re planning to spend time out here this season, getting your membership squared away now is one of the best ways to support the trails you love. Get yours here!

New Merch!
We’ve got a fresh round of 2026 gear rolling in, and it’s some of our favorite stuff yet.

We’re especially fired up about the new Creemee design, a little tribute to that perfect post-ride stop. You’ll start to see it—and other new pieces—hitting the shelves and our online store over the coming weeks.

Big shout out to Blueberry Bikes and Magic Wolf Co. for bringing our new designs to life.

Whether you swing by the Welcome Center or buy your new threads on our website, it’s a good time to take a look—we think you’ll find something you’ll want to wear all season.

May Volunteers Needed:

Be An Ambassador

Late May is when things really come alive around here. Memorial Day weekend (May 23–25) and Victoria Day weekend (May 16–18) bring a lot of energy to the trails—and a lot of visitors.

It’s also a time to pause and reflect, and to make sure we’re showing up as the kind of place people are excited to return to.

We’re looking for Volunteer Ambassadors to help welcome folks, answer questions, and keep things running smoothly during these busy days. If you’ve got a few hours to spare, it’s a great way to be part of it. You can sign up here.

And to our Canadian friends- we’re really glad you’re here.

Come Hang Out With Us

Our Operations team is working on something exciting: a refreshed outdoor space right in front of the Welcome Center, designed to be a place to slow down and stick around.

Whether you’ve just wrapped up a ride, are meeting up with friends, or just want to take in the scene, this will be a spot to grab a seat, share a story, and connect with the community that makes this place special.

Think post-ride lunches, kids hanging out, riders swapping trail recommendations, and that easy end-of-day feeling where no one’s in a rush to leave.

We’ll be rolling this out over the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to see it come to life with all of you.

Huge thanks to KT Ambassador Kara Dunn—this whole idea started with her, and we’re grateful she brought it forward.
