PLEASE CONSIDER BEING A DELEGATE to the DPW Convention because these Delegates will elect the new DPW Chair, and 1st & 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. MEMORIAL DAY PARADE Monday, May 26, 2025
EC Dems Meet in Wilson Park 8:30am-9am ECC Dems are Unit D23 following the North HS Band & American Legion Post 53
Join Eau Claire County Democrats in the annual Eau Claire Memorial Day Parade to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Bring your flags and wear patriotic attire, including red, white, and DEMOCRATIC blue clothing. (No candidate attire, literature, or signs allowed.)
We are allowed to wear buttons supporting values and issues, especially those expressing support for issues that affect veterans.
We will have a decorated wagon, and we need riders to wave flags and walkers to carry our banner or hand out candy (no throwing of candy allowed).
Family members are welcome to join us in wagons, or on foot, bicycles, scooters, roller skates, or stilts.
The parade concludes at Owen Park, followed by a service to honor the men and women who served our country.

Any woman wanting to sing in a "Raging Grannies" style group, please join us. The resistance/activist words are sung to familiar folk song melodies that are easy to learn. Song sheets provided. Bring a friend and join this new group!

Local Western Dairyland Headstart Program is being CUT! This regional program serves Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson and Trempealeau counties in western Wisconsin. This is one of many programs for low income folks being eliminated by the Trump administration. These federally-funded programs for early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families are closing as funds are being cut. Head Start has been an extremely successful program for providing school readiness for kids.
