  • Local  Western Dairyland Headstart Program is being CUT! This regional program serves Buffalo, Eau Claire, Jackson and Trempealeau counties in western Wisconsin. This is one of many programs for low income folks being eliminated by the Trump administration. These federally-funded programs for early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families are closing as funds are being cut. Head Start has been an extremely successful program for providing school readiness for kids.
