UPDATE

Dear Friends,

Why was AskAboutIsa.com created? An Iranian man recently described the religion of his upbringing as “without any knowledge, without any purpose and without any love.” But then, he said, “I found the love of Jesus.”

We created this website for people like this all over the Muslim world.

Doubling Down in October

Midway through September, we doubled our daily ad investment reaching Pakistan, from $10 a day to $20. September only ran at that rate for two weeks. October is the first full month at the doubled level, and the numbers from September are why we're confident enough to do that.

What September looked like

After months of testing other audiences (India, Nigeria & the UK), September was the first full month back targeting Pakistan, where most of the people asking honest questions about Jesus actually are. Results?

  • Chat sessions jumped from 103 in August to 485.
  • Questions people typed in went from 204 to 1,496.
  • Eight people clicked "I just prayed" after a conversation with the Isa chat
  • Six reached out directly through the contact form for follow up.

So exciting to see!

A conversation worth sharing

Most conversations on the site are calm and curious. Some aren't. Last week,  a Pakistani man engaged in a long exchange on the Trinity, the Bible's reliability, and the finality of Muhammad. They got patient, scriptural answers through all of it. By the end he wasn't asking questions anymore. He was angry the site existed, and told us plainly:

"If you were near us, I would have severed your head and finished it off. Whoever made this site, if he were close to us, he probably wouldn't be alive right now."

We're not sharing that to alarm you, and we don't see him as an enemy. We see someone whose foundation got challenged by a few honest, scripture-based answers and didn't know what to do with that except lash out. Nobody threatens to silence something that doesn't threaten them. Jesus told us how to answer it: with love and truth, the same way our Isa chat did, right up to his last reply. Jesus told us to expect this:

“A time is coming when everybody that kills you will think they’re offering service to God”(Jn 16:2).

Violence against Christians is done under the false belief that they are doing God’s work. Let's not forget our real enemy. Not Muslims, but “the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ…” (2 Co 4:4).

Making the platform better

We're also always refining the site itself, to reach more people more effectively. Today we updated the following:

  • Answers now load several times faster, important for someone checking in quietly on a slow connection.
  • When Jesus's own words answer a question, we show them first, straight from scripture. This way, people get a short, direct answer up front, with the option to go deeper. Same honest answers from my book.

Help us sow more seed

Most seed lands on ordinary ground and grows quietly, like the hundreds of calm conversations happening every day. A few of them land somewhere defensive, like the one above. Both mean the seed is landing instead of missing the field!

We can only sow as much as we can afford to buy. Every dollar goes straight into ads putting Jesus's own words in front of someone who may have never had the chance to ask a Christian these questions. The bigger the bag of seed, the more ground we cover. If you can help us keep October's doubled investment going, or double it again, your gift reaches the next person like the ones above, curious or combative, with the truth about who Jesus is.

Thank you for making September possible!

In His service,
