John, join 2025 Let’s Ride, Illinois to celebrate biking and community this September!

We’re excited to invite you to take part in 2025 Let’s Ride, Illinois - our annual statewide celebration of biking, community, and connection. From September 5 through 21, people across Illinois will be leading and joining free, welcoming rides that bring communities together.

More than 30 rides were held last year as part of this event. This time, we’re aiming for at least 48 rides in towns and cities throughout the state, and we’d love to see you involved - whether that means hosting a ride or joining one nearby.

🚲 Thinking About Hosting a Ride?
You don’t need to be a bike club or event planner to take the lead. Anyone can organize a ride - a small neighborhood loop, a school-based ride, a workplace lunch cruise, or a larger community event. If it gets people moving and enjoying the outdoors, it counts.

We’ve got resources to help, including:

• A simple Organizer Toolkit
• A fill-in-the-blank poster template
• Our official event logo
• A sample registration form and more

The first 25 rides that register will receive a 10 custom event bandanas and Ride Illinois informational material to help you promote and celebrate your ride. Click the button below to host a ride in your community.

📍 Want to Join a Ride Instead?
There’s no need to host if you just want to ride. Use our Find a Ride Map to see what’s happening near you. As events roll in throughout August and early September, you’ll be able to find a ride that fits your pace and schedule. Invite friends, bring the kids, or show up solo and meet new folks. If you have any questions regarding a ride in your area, all rides have the organizer's ride information attached to the interactive map we have our our website.

✒️ Missed the Planning Session?
We recently held a brief Zoom session to share tips, answer questions, and walk through our organizer tools. If you couldn’t make it, you can still watch the full recording on your own time. Let's Ride Illinois Planning Session

2025 Let’s Ride, Illinois is all about creating space for people of all backgrounds, ages, and biking experience levels to connect through fun, low-pressure rides. It’s a great excuse to get outside and do something simple and joyful.
