As I look back on the past month at One Bistro, my heart is full of gratitude. August was a month that reminded me once again that One Bistro is so much more than a restaurant; it is a place where people come together, serve one another, and experience what it means to love our neighbors well.
National Everybody Eats Week was such a beautiful example of that mission in action. Throughout the week, we had the privilege of welcoming members of our community, local leaders, first responders, and friends who came together to serve with joy and generosity. And because of the incredible support of our community, we have raised enough money to provide thousands of meals! thousands of opportunities to make sure someone has a seat at the table and knows that they matter. That is something worth celebrating!
But we aren’t stopping there. As we look toward the months ahead, we are prayerfully making plans to expand our Ministry Meal program beyond our walls. We want to find meaningful ways to provide meals to veterans and children in foster care, two groups who deserve to know that their community sees them, values them, and cares about their well-being. We are exploring partnerships and opportunities that will allow these meals to become more than just food. They can be a tangible expression of love, dignity, and hope.
There is so much possibility ahead for One Bistro, and I am incredibly excited about where God is leading us. Thank you for continuing to believe in this mission, for eating with us, serving with us, giving generously, and helping us create a community where everyone eats and everyone belongs.
With gratitude,
Natalie
