Summer is here and KT is open! Our Trail Crew has been hard at work and it shows: trails are in great shape. This weekend, I am excited to announce the opening of two new trails!
"Still Worth It" is a bi-directional, machine-built trail that connects the top of Kitchel to the back of the Burklyn trail, offering riders a way to avoid .5 of road and 100% of pavement on their way to Darling Ridge- I hope you will agree that riding trails instead of the road is worth it!
Also opening this weekend is "Bobolink," a short but fun new section of trail that connects the old Sleigh Ride trail into the freshened-up East Branch North (now named “Bobolink.”)
Speaking of bobolinks…38.5 acres of KT's conserved land on Darling Hill has been accepted into the Bobolink Project. Bobolinks are ground-nesting grassland birds and their nesting sites are often disrupted by early-season haying or mowing operations. Later this month, a grassland bird biologist from MassAudubon will be coming to count the number of pairs in our field, look at the vegetation, and send us a report to let us know how we can maintain and increase the population of these songbirds.

Celebrating Our Canadian Community: Memberships at Par + Free Guest Day Membership
From July 1 through July 31, Canadian dollars will be accepted at par with U.S. dollars for both annual memberships and day memberships purchased in person at the Kingdom Trails Welcome Center in East Burke. Canadian riders who purchase an annual membership during this time will receive one complimentary guest day membership to share with a friend or family member.
Since Kingdom Trails was founded in 1994, Canadian riders have helped shape the spirit of this community. From first rides to family traditions, epic adventures to lifelong friendships, Canadian Community Month is a time to celebrate.
Already a Canadian annual member? Bring a guest to the Welcome Center during Canadian Community Month and we'll provide them with a complimentary day membership so you can share the Kingdom Trails experience together.

Join Us for Best Day Ever Tonight!
Kingdom Trails is proud to co-sponsor a special screening of the award-winning documentary Best Day Ever today at 7:00 PM at the Catamount Arts Eastern Avenue Cinema in St. Johnsbury.
The film follows adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi as they navigate the challenges of disability while finding freedom, connection, and community through mountain biking in Vermont.
As we continue to expand adaptive mountain biking opportunities at Kingdom Trails, we're excited to support a film that celebrates the power of access and the belief that everyone belongs outdoors. Inspiring, visually stunning, and deeply human, Best Day Ever highlights what's possible when creativity, determination, and community come together.

Save the Date: Kingdom Bike Fest Coming August 8–9
Mark your calendars for Kingdom Bike Fest, coming to the Wildflower Inn on August 8–9 for a family-friendly weekend celebrating community, camaraderie, and all things mountain bike.
Hosted by the Wildflower Inn, Kingdom Bike Fest brings together riders of all ages and abilities for a weekend packed with fun both on and off the bike.
Saturday's festivities will include an Adventure Ride, Kids Races, Skills Challenges, Relay Races, an Adaptive MTB Event, a Vendor Expo and Bike Demos, Disc Golf, Games & Activities, Live Music, a Beer Garden, and a community Bonfire.
On Sunday, riders can take part in the Kingdom Bike Fest Cross Country Race, with categories for both youth and adults.
Primitive camping will be available on-site all weekend for a one-time fee of $30 (Friday through Monday).
