National Everybody Eats Week 2025

We have an exciting line up of Community Heroes for NEEW August 27-30! We're happy to announce the support of our fantastic first responders' teams! Don't forget, each of these groups will be competing in a Pay It Forward Contest, working to bring in the most pay it forwards on their day of service and win the coveted brass dinner bell prize! This year, you have the option to support your favorite group as a Community Champion Sponsor by donating online here or by joining us in the cafe on their day and paying it forward.

"Great food and excellent service. Feels good to do something we always do (dine out) and help someone else at the same time. The hostess was fantastic! We had salad and Italian hoagie. Very good! The house made dressings were awesome. The balsamic vinaigrette was tangy and fresh."

Generate Camp YM360 & Olivet Baptist Church

For the third year in a row, a team from Olivet Baptist Church in Paducah, KY attended GENERATE Camp YM360 in Cedarville. As part of their service outreach, they volunteered at One Bistro. This group is a tremendous blessing every time they serve. We're so grateful for their servant hearts, their smiles and their hard work! THANK YOU for your gift of service!

In Memory of Dick Walker

Board member, Sarah Mays, and Manager, Margie Cook, represented One Bistro at Cedarville's Sidewalk Saturday in memory of our long-time supporter and friend, Dick Walker. He was a huge advocate and champion of One Bistro and we were blessed to honor him!!

❔Frequently Asked Questions❔

Are there other One Bistro locations?

No, Xenia is the only location. Our flagship location in Miamisburg, Ohio closed in 2018. There are a number of Community Cafes, similar to One Bistro, across the country. If you are traveling, you might want to search for community cafes in the visiting area.

What’s the difference between a restaurant and a community café?

Restaurants have owners and are operated for profit with specific prices on their menu. Community cafes have a Board of Directors and operate as a non-profit with suggested prices.

Restaurants have only paid employees. Community cafes depend on volunteers with limited paid employees.

Restaurants only allow you to eat if you can pay for your meal. Community cafes provide options for payments. You can volunteer in exchange for a meal, pay-what-you-can, or pay the full amount of the suggested price.

In restaurants you leave a tip for the service provided.  In community cafes, our servers are volunteers. Any amount you pay beyond the suggested price of your bill is considered ‘pay it forward’ and provides meals for those in need.

Restaurants have private seating for diners. Community cafes have private seating and offer seating at a Community Table to encourage connectedness with neighbors.

Restaurants don’t typically declare their faith. And, not all community cafes are faith-based. One Bistro is faith-based and we strive to feed people physically and spiritually by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"When I first walked into One Bistro, I thought I was just going out for a meal. What I didn't expect was how much that meal would mean--not just to me, but for my community. The food was absolutely incredible--fresh, homemade, and better than anything I could've made at home. But what really stood out was the atmosphere. It wasn't just a restaurant; it was a place where people of all backgrounds came together as equals and I felt seen and heard, as did everyone else who walked in the door.

When I learned about the Pay It Forward program, I immediately wanted to get involved. Knowing that my meal could help someone else enjoy the same experience filled me with such a sense of purpose. Dining here has become one of my favorite ways to give back. It's more than food--it's community, love, and hope served on every plate."
