URGENT:  Sign CRA’s Petition to Oppose the Generational Tobacco Ban!

A bill has just been introduced in the New York Assembly that would BAN the sale of all tobacco products, including premium cigars, to individuals born after December 31, 2007.

This unprecedented attack on cigar freedom not only represents a significant overreach of government authority, but also restricts personal freedoms and sets a troubling precedent for limiting individual choice.

Assembly Bill 11509 unfairly treats all tobacco products the same, ignoring the unique nature of premium cigars, which are enjoyed responsibly by adults and are not a significant public health concern. If passed, this legislation would:

  • Make purchasing cigars in New York for future generations nearly impossible in the years ahead.

  • Harm small businesses across New York many of which are family-owned cigar shops and lounges.

  • Threaten jobs and livelihoods tied to the premium cigar industry.

  • Reduce state tax revenue, further hurting the local economy.

Make no mistake:  This is flat-out prohibition!

Please sign CRA’s petition today to oppose this attack on premium cigars and send a clear message to lawmakers that this prohibition must be stopped.

Thank you for standing with CRA and for defending cigar freedom!
