Summer is winding down, and we wanted to pause and celebrate a few of the incredible things happening across the QKD family, growth, generosity, new beginnings, and Kingdom impact.

🎓 A LEGACY THAT KEEPS GIVING

Walker Strong

This May, Walker Strong gifted scholarships to graduating seniors, bringing the organization’s total scholarships awarded to an incredible $100,000 in just four years.

What began as a fishing tournament honoring Tobie Walker’s late husband, Chad Walker, a police officer who was killed in the line of duty, has grown into a lasting legacy of generosity and hope for the next generation.

⛳ FIVE YEARS. 38 FAMILIES & COUNTING

Gallas Strong

The 5th Annual Gallas Strong Golf Tournament was the biggest one yet!

But the real victory isn’t found on the leaderboard—it’s in the lives changed off the course. Over the past five years, funds raised through Gallas Strong have helped 38 families and counting as they navigate the unimaginable challenges of battling cancer.

Five years of golfers showing up. Five years of generosity. 38 families reminded that they aren’t walking through it alone.

Emanuel Village

CLOSER THAN EVER TO BREAKING GROUND

Emanuel Village continues to make incredible progress toward becoming a reality.

The multi-million-dollar project has now gone out to RFP for a developer, bringing this transformational vision closer than ever to breaking ground.

This milestone is a testament to years of vision, planning, partnership, and perseverance—and to the work of The Handprint Initiative, whose efforts continue to help move Emanuel Village forward.

🚀 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

Being Sons

This summer brought a milestone worth celebrating: Being Sons officially launched as an independent 501(c)(3)!

Watching a program grow, mature, and eventually step out on its own is one of the greatest rewards of the QKD model. We’re incredibly proud of the Being Sons team and excited to see what this next chapter holds.

✝️ A NEW MINISTRY JOINS THE FAMILY

He Must Increase Ministries

This summer, He Must Increase Ministries was added as a new QKD program—and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them!

Built around the words of John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease,” the ministry is focused on pointing people toward Jesus through ministry, outreach, discipleship, and a life centered on Christ.

We’re honored to come alongside this ministry and look forward to seeing how God uses He Must Increase Ministries to impact lives and communities.

🙏 SIX YEARS OF PRAYER OVER SCHOOLS

Lock the Shields

For the sixth consecutive year, Lock the Shields gathered to pray over our schools. What began as a local movement in San Antonio has grown into a national movement of prayer. 

1,410 SCHOOLS ADOPTED

1,181,214 STUDENTS COVERED IN PRAYER

But we know there is still so much more to do, with more than 67,000 schools across our nation.

The vision is bigger than San Antonio. The mission is bigger than one community.
