Lunch & Book Talk with Ruth Shaber, Co-author of The XX Edge Tuesday, Sept 17, 12-2pm ET Location: Trillium Asset Management, Two Financial Center (1 Congress Street, Suite 3101, Boston, MA 02114)
Join Dr. Ruth Shaber, an inspirational philanthropist and change-maker, to discuss her journey from physician to change-maker and her book, The XX Edge. The XX Edge highlights how beneficial it is when women are involved in financial decision-making. This event is in-person and open to Impact Collective community members, Invest for Better members, and Trillium clients and team members.
We encourage you to read The XX Edge in advance of the event to get the most out of the discussion, but it is not required to attend; we promise you will find the community and discussion inspiring either way!
“What most investors don't realize is that when more women are involved in financial decision-making across all entities that make financial decisions (including governments, private and public companies, investment funds, real estate development, and individual households), money is managed more efficiently and effectively, investments are more profitable, and companies and governments make better decisions that benefit individual investors and, ultimately, the overall economy.” —The XX Edge

About Collective Conversations
Collective Conversations is our series of monthly opportunities to learn, take action, and build community. Please join us and bring friends on the first Friday of every month for a one-hour Zoom conversation with experts and activists from within and beyond our community. Upcoming topics include direct giving, investing to close the racial wealth gap, how to find the right investment advisor, Boston’s Black business ecosystem, and more!
The Impact Collective (CLTV) community is taking bold steps to empower Black businesses, champion environmental justice, and invigorate the local economy. Together, we're partnering with the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA) to bring their vision to life: the BECMA Sustainability Hub, a new headquarters in Roxbury.
We are delighted to share an update on our first collective action fundraising effort. CLTV Alumni and community members have come together to raise $366,600 this month! When we reach $500k we’ll unlock an additional $500k in matching funds from the BARR Foundation, doubling the impact for BECMA.
Please join your fellow CLTV community members and make a donation of any amount today. Your gift will unlock additional funding and help BECMA purchase this property in September, creating a vibrant, sustainable future for Roxbury and the Black business ecosystem in Massachusetts. Learn more about the BECMA Sustainability Hub.
We’d love to be able to celebrate 100% of CLTV Alumni supporting this effort!
