Dear Julie,

It's been a busy few months over here in Good Grief Network land. Check out the video above for our announcement ⬆️.

Our team has made the difficult decision to change organizational formats. For 6 of our 10 years, GGN has been housed as a nonprofit organization. But, the hustle for funding has been an ongoing obstacle. It's been really difficult receiving new grants - we prioritize small group transformative experiences and grants want to fund thousands of people through a process -  and the rising costs in this socio-political moment makes it more difficult to afford programming. While we've had a handful of incredibly generous funders and donors, it takes a lot of money to keep an organization afloat. So, we've made the tough decision to dissolve the nonprofit by the end of the year. We'd like to see Good Grief evolve and iterate into something where we're not scrambling for money or energy to keep the transformative work going. We're open to what comes next.
