Dear Friends of MTF,

It's hard to believe it's already time for the beginning of a new school year! Thanks to your support, more children will be going back to their classrooms feeling confident wearing new school clothes because of grants from MTF.

One of the very first grant requests to MTF was for an 11-year-old boy going to school wearing his mother's slippers. How could he feel confident about school wearing those? A $25 grant from MTF took this child out of an uncomfortable situation and gave him the dignity and confidence that every child deserves.

Our goal is to make sure ALL children have the tools needed to be successful in school and life! Please take a moment to watch our video to see the education grants MTF provides.

Welcome back Jeanette!

After a move to Minnesota, Jeanette Lincoln and her family retuned to Lake County last summer and are living in Grayslake. We welcome her back to Mothers Trust Foundation as our Service Manager. We are happy to have her back in the office as our main contact for our many service partners. We wish Crystal Overton all the best as she heads back to grad school!

A high school senior is excelling in the duel-credit Emergency Medical Service (EMS) program at the Lake County Technology Campus. As a member of the National Technology Honors Society, she is thrilled to qualify for the EMS SkillsUSA State Competition, but her family cannot afford the entrance fee and travel costs for the event.  A grant from MTF allows her to attend.

After competing in SkillsUSA, this EMS student sent the following thank-you note:

"Thank you so much, Mothers Trust Foundation, for the financial aid that helped me compete in the SkillsUSA Competition!! Without your help I would not have been able to have this great experience .  It was so much fun!!"
