Your%20Paragraph%20Text%20-%201%20-%20Edited.png

Volunteer Deep Dives is a new learning opportunity for PTMSC volunteers to keep growing, connect with others, and deepen their knowledge and skills. We'll be diving into special topics such as gray whale anatomy, marine mammals, gray whale EMU's, and sea star wasting to start with. All volunteers are welcome, and this will be particularly relevant to anyone who is interested in volunteering as an exhibit docent or with our education program.

Volunteer Deep Dives-Gray Whale Anatomy
October 20, 5:30pm, PTMSC exhibit at Fort Worden
Have you ever wondered about the unique adaptations that gray whales have evolved for life in the ocean? We'll learn about the anatomy of gray whales and be hands-on with a gray whale skeleton. We hope you'll join us to learn about this fascinating animal.

Volunteer Deep Dives-Marine Mammals
October 27, 5:30pm, PTMSC exhibit at Fort Worden
Marine mammals have evolved in special ways to live in the ocean, and we'll learn about their adaptations and compare them to terrestrial mammals.

You can explore our inventory online, or come visit the Tool Library at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds on Tuesdays, 4-7pm and Saturdays, 10am-1pm
