Here’s What is Happening This Week 12/22/2021
Holiday Greetings from our Executive Director, Bonnie Green
Dear TPP Members and Friends,
It has been a year of challenges, new ways of engaging, and ensuring that we stay in touch with you, as TPP continues to connect the dots in our community.
As we say farewell to 2021, we are thankful for our members and our community, for opportunities to have a positive impact, and for learning the art of the ‘virtual,’ with kudos to Jen Brown.
We appreciate your participation in our virtual programs, and TPP was able to have several in person programs, including our TPP Annual Dinner, with our friend VADM “Spanky” Morley as our guest speaker.
As we look to 2022 and new opportunities, we will be transitioning from the virtual to in person programs.
Thank you for your faith and confidence in TPP. We welcome your suggestions and appreciate your participation. Our office is open and we welcome you to stop by for a visit.
While generosity, grace and gratitude have no season, they define the holiday season.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and best wishes, as you celebrate this season in your own way. Stay safe and well. Enjoy time with family and friends.
We’ll be seeing you in 2022. Happy New Year!
Bonnie M. Green
NB: TPP closes at 1pm on Thursday, December 23rd & reopens at 8am, Monday, December 27th. The office will be closed on Friday, December 31st.

America is in for a lot more breakthrough infections. Here’s what to do if you fall sick. By Yasmin Tayag | The Atlantic | DECEMBER 17, 2021 - My breakthrough infection started with a scratchy throat just a few days before Thanksgiving. Because I’m vaccinated, and had just tested negative for COVID-19 two days earlier, I initially brushed off the symptoms as merely a cold. Just to be sure, I got checked again a few days later. Positive. The result felt like a betrayal after 18 months of reporting on the pandemic. And as I walked home from the testing center, I realized that I had no clue what to do next.
