THE VOICE OF HUMANIST CANADA
YOUR MONTHLY NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the June Edition of Humanist Canada’s Newsletter!
🌞 A Season of Reflection, Celebration, and Connection
As summer begins, June invites us to pause, engage, and come together—guided by the values at the heart of Humanist Canada.
This month, we honour National Indigenous History Month, recognizing the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We also celebrate Pride Month, standing in solidarity with 2SLGBTQ+ communities and reaffirming our commitment to dignity, equity, and inclusion for all.
Alongside these important observances, we’re thrilled to launch new opportunities for connection—from our upcoming Summer Gathering to a brand-new New Member Orientation series for francophone members. Whether you're a long-standing member or just joining us, we hope to see you there.
Bonne lecture!

At Humanist Canada, we proudly celebrate Pride Month and reaffirm our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.
Pride is a time to honour the courage, joy, and resilience of 2SLGBTQ+ communities, to reflect on the ongoing fight for equality, and to amplify voices that have too often been marginalized.
As Humanists, we believe in a society where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
This month, and every month, we stand in solidarity with 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and communities across Canada and beyond.
Happy Pride!

The month of June marks National Indigenous History Month in Canada, where the culturally rich traditions and complex histories of the country’s First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people are remembered, honoured, and celebrated.
Indigenous communities have lived on this land since time immemorial, and their presence continues to shape and enrich the evolving story of Canada.
At Humanist Canada, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a society grounded in respect, dignity, and justice. Reconciliation begins with awareness and continues with action.
If you would like to know a few ideas of how you can get involved and show your support, we encourage you to visit the Government of Canada’s National Indigenous History Month page for learning resources, suggested actions, and ways to honour this important month.

Choice Chat
🎧 Choice Chat is more than a podcast — it’s a platform for informed, compassionate, and courageous conversations about abortion, reproductive rights, and sexual health.
It emerged from a pressing need to counter misinformation, challenge stigma, and create a Humanist space where people can talk about their reproductive lives with honesty and dignity.
