Introducing WNL Fall Intern, Alyssa!
We'd like to introduce you to Alyssa - our fall intern! Alyssa is a Senior at Heidelberg University and currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology.
Alyssa is passionate in advocating for those in the criminal justice system, women in prisons, and those under served.
Findlay Art League featuring art created by friends of WNL!
Make sure you stop by the Findlay Art League this week - throughout the month of September, they've featured an exhibit of art created by those involved with Welcome to a New Life, FOCUS and more - certain items are even available for purchase!
The FAL Gallery is located at 117 W Crawford St. in Downtown Findlay!
WNL Awarded Operations Round-Up Grant by Hancock-Wood Electric
Recently, Welcome to a New Life received a grant from the Hancock-Wood Electric Community Trust Fund's Operation Round Up Program - we're incredibly grateful to Hancock-Wood and these grant dollars that will continue to allow our staff to provide HOPE to those in the WNL program. #MoreChances!
We'd like to say a big thanks to Journey Salon & Day Spa and Mancy's Steakhouse in Findlay for hosting fundraisers to benefit WNL last month! Events & partnerships like these are invaluable to spreading the word of the WNL mission!
Recovery Walk 2022
This past weekend was another incredible Recovery Walk hosted by FOCUS Recovery & Wellness Community! WNL was there as a part of their Recovery Palooza - we're SO proud to help those in our community find the help and resources that they need!
We still have copies of Dreamland and The Least Of Us for sale! Get one before his zoom event on November 2nd. Both were written by Sam Quinones, our guest speaker from our annual breakfast in June, and address his findings about addiction and recovery in our country.
