Scotian Shores is working to clean up Nova Scotia's coastline. They have removed over 100,000 pounds of plastic and other waste from the ocean so far. They are currently fundraising to purchase a truck to assist them in future cleanups.

Because Waterkeepers found the department’s responses sometimes incomplete, evasive, or simply incorrect, we have appended Waterkeeper responses (highlighted in yellow) to Mr. Hollett, for clarity, after each reply.
The most troubling part of NSECC’s responses is the abandonment of responsibility for issuing a very poorly considered approval, and an ongoing refusal to monitor effects that approval may have on off-site water resources for abutting taxpayers and the entire community of St. Croix Cove.
