MassEnergize’s PlugIN Campaign Expands to New Communities!
We’re excited to announce that the PlugIN Campaign, generously funded for another year by Senator Jamie Eldridge, has entered its second phase!
This phase includes the addition of Ashland, Sudbury, and Westborough, joining the existing communities of Acton, Framingham, Natick, and Wayland. We held our kick-off meeting for this exciting expansion two weeks ago, and we can’t wait to broaden the reach of this impactful campaign.
The PlugIN Campaign aims to help MetroWest homeowners reduce reliance on fossil fuels by encouraging the adoption of rooftop solar, community solar, and heat pumps. This community-driven effort is key to transitioning to cleaner energy and addressing global warming at the local level.
You can get involved too! Visit pluginmetrowest.orgto learn more, like and share our resources, or submit a testimonial to inspire others.

As we enter a new season and reflect on five years of growth and progress, we celebrate an important milestone: MassEnergize is now 5 years old!
Founded in 2019, our mission has always been to motivate communities across Massachusetts to take bold climate action. Over the past five years, we've grown and made a significant impact:
34 Member Communities supported through our services and digital platform
11,265 Households engaged in taking climate action
15.8 million lbs of annual greenhouse gas emissions reduced
And much more!
Our programs, like PlugIN Metrowest and Solar Para Todos, continue to bring clean energy solutions to residents, including Environmental Justice communities. And with the support of community leaders and residents like you, we’re building a greener future together.
Your contributions—whether time, skills, or donations—are the foundation of our progress. If you’re looking for more ways to get involved or share your expertise, we’d love to hear from you.
Thank you for being part of the MassEnergize family. Here's to many more years of collective action!
At this month’s Community of Practice meeting, we focused on the challenges and opportunities around funding for our communities. Participants engaged in a live poll, sparking discussions about common struggles with securing funding, and suggestions for creative strategies for hosting cost-neutral events. Attendees also shared valuable tips on how to access extra funding for their projects.
For those who couldn't attend, you can catch up on key takeaways and resources shared during the meeting at the MassEnergize Resource Center. You can also watch the recording of our October meeting right here. Feel free to revisit any part of the conversation!
