Danielle Bronowicz joined the ranks of the Waterway Stewards in 2024, bringing passion and purpose to the shores of the Susquehanna River and Lake Augusta in Northumberland County. With unwavering commitment, she dedicates her time to restoring the natural beauty of these vital waterways, removing debris, protecting wildlife habitats, and inspiring others to take action. Danielle is also the proud and active chairperson of the The Susquehanna River Cleanup Project, a transformative initiative led by Sunbury’s Revitalization.
"Every piece of trash I pick up is one less threat to the river I love. The Susquehanna has given so much to our communities, cleaning its banks is just one way I can give back." Danielle Bronowicz, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Waterway Steward.
In addition to being a Waterway Steward, Danielle also coordinates the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Litter Free School Zone program for her students at Liberty Valley Intermediate School.
We send a big thank you to Danielle for being an integral part of our programs, for your dedication to keeping your community clean and beautiful, and for inspiring the next generation with the values of stewardship. We truly appreciate your commitment and involvement!

Land and Water Stewards Working Together for Cleaner, Healthier Communities
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Land and Water Steward Programs empowers everyday Pennsylvanians to become stewards of the land and water they cherish. Litter impacts our quality of life, the natural environment and economic development in communities near and far. Caring for our roads, trails, waterways, and shared public spaces benefits everyone. Clean, well-maintained areas not only reduce safety hazards caused by litter, they also create more welcoming environments for residents and visitors alike, while lowering long-term maintenance costs.
We all share the responsibility of keeping our communities clean and beautiful. Join one of our stewardship programs today and help protect the places you love!

Through the installation of litter control booms, devices designed to capture floating debris and prevent its spread, this initiative actively works to safeguard waterways by collecting and removing trash before it can cause further environmental harm.
