In Need of a Ride?
EFDE announced our new Transportation Program two months ago, and it is already a big success, benefitting so many in our community!
If you are a Delaware resident, have been diagnosed with epilepsy/seizure disorder and under the care of a neurologist, then may qualify for this FREE program.
Rides are provided by Uber Health and must be scheduled through EFDE.

Jennifer Hubbard has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Nemours Children’s Hospital Acute and Urgent Care for the last four years. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, a Master of Science from Wilmington University, Post Masters from the University of South Alabama and she completed her Doctors of Nurse at the same institution. She was an adjunct faculty member at both Salisbury University and Wor Wic Community College, where she taught nursing students both didactically and on a pediatric medical surgical floor setting. She is a member of the American Epilepsy Society, as well as the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
In 2023, Jennifer was nominated for the Rising Star Advanced Professional Nurse and in 2024 the Exemplary Professional Practice. This year she is receiving the Eric Burton Osberg Award from the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA for her volunteer work with epilepsy.
Her dedication to the care of pediatric epilepsy patients began as an “epilepsy mom” when her son Aiden was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 6. As an advocate for her favorite patient, she has lived the struggles of many epilepsy families lacking accessible mental health care. She continues her mission to advocate for epilepsy patients through a quality improvement project on Anxiety and Depression, as well as her volunteer work at Camp Achieve and representing Nemours at epilepsy walks such as Reagan's Run and Walk to End Epilepsy.
She serves on the Professional Advisory Board (PAB) for the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware and is a resource for the Nemours Neurology Parent Group. Jennifer joined the EFDE Board because there was no support for the Eastern Shore when Aiden was diagnosed, and parents and families need to feel connected.
