Emergency Shelter Pods Downtown

The BBA is closely following the proposal to build a low barrier 'temporary' shelter pod community at the city parking lot on Elmwood Ave. The proposal calls for 30 pods, showers and bathrooms, a community space, and offices for those managing the site. We will share updates on this plan with members as the proposal works its way through the public process.

We encourage those with concerns to join our Downtown Action Group. The group next meets Tuesday, March 29 at 9:30. Reach out to Colin to join DAG’s email list.

Join A BBA Committee

The BBA’s committees provide a forum for discussion and action based on the needs of the business community. Committees are open to all members. Let us know if you'd like to learn more.

  • Waterfront Action Group - meets the second Thursday of each month at 8am
