Solar Para Todos (‘Solar for All’ in Portuguese and Spanish) is our community program designed to help income-eligible Framingham residents — especially Portuguese and Spanish speakers — access the benefits of community solar and lower their energy bills. Funded by a generous grant from MassCEC, local residents are trained as Solar Ambassadors to build clean energy knowledge and strengthen community connections.
Our incredible Solar Ambassadors have been out and about in Framingham, spreading the word (in English, Spanish & Portuguese) about Solar Para Todos! From visiting local businesses and churches to connecting with residents at laundromats and food pantries, they’ve been working hard to make solar energy accessible to everyone. We're excited to keep helping families save money on their energy bills while expanding access to renewable energy!

Introducing Guisell Smith - Supporting Solar Para Todos
We’re excited to welcome Guisell Smith to the MassEnergize team! A native Spanish speaker, Guisell will play an important role in strengthening relationships with residents in Framingham while supporting Solar Para Todos in expanding clean energy access for the city’s Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking communities.
With a background in Nutrition and Food Science, Guisell’s passion for health, culture, and sustainability grew while exploring traditional remedies and local food systems aboard international cruise lines.
Guisell is dedicated to promoting mindful living and believes small, informed choices can create meaningful environmental change.
We’re thrilled to have her join the team and support Solar Para Todos!
🌿 The 2025 Community Climate Leaders Conference is THIS MONTH — Don’t Miss Out! 🌿
We’re just weeks away from the 2nd Annual Community Climate Leaders Conference on April 30, 2025 at Bentley University in Waltham — and it’s shaping up to be an incredible day you won’t want to miss.
Registration closes on April 16 — grab your ticket before it’s too late!
We’re excited to feature Jamal Lewis, Director of Implementation Learning & Integration at Rewiring America. Jamal is a national leader in equitable electrification and will share how local leaders can help communities access funding, lower energy bills, and build healthier homes.
Action-Packed Sessions & Evening Highlights
This year’s conference features fresh sessions and hands-on learning. The Municipal Roundtable returns for municipal leaders to share ideas and strategies, while our new Resource Breakout offers demos of tools like GHG calculators and electrification planners.
In the late afternoon, connect at the Non-Profit Exhibitor Fair (4-5pm) and wrap up your conference experience with a screening of Inundation District, a powerful climate warning film followed by a Q&A with director David Abel.
Last year’s conference sold out — don’t wait! Join over 200 community leaders, municipal staff, and grassroots organizers from across the region for a day of learning, networking, and climate action.
We are looking for a few volunteers to help with the organization of the event. If you have any ideas or would like to be involved in any way, please reach out to us here.
Community of Practice
Thank you to everyone who joined our March Community of Practice meeting! We had a great discussion on tracking outreach impact, with Ariha Jain sharing how website traffic spikes after newsletters, events, and campaign nudges—highlighting the power of data-driven engagement.
Communities learned how to use Google Analytics to refine their strategies, and real-world examples helped bring the data to life. We also shared exciting Earth Day plans from communities across the network. Looking for slides and resources? Visit the MassEnergize Resource Center to access materials from the meeting.
Mark your calendars! Our next Community of Practice meeting is on April 14th at 7:15 PM with Bob Zogg from the HeatSmart Alliance, who will share insights on heat pump water heaters.
Thank you to everyone who joined our Induction Cooktop Webinar, co-hosted by plugIN and Resilient Swampscott! It was great to see participation from over 20 communities across the state.
A special thanks to Andee Krasner from Greater Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility for sharing valuable insights on the health impacts of gas stoves.
