JESUS, WE TRUST IN YOU.

In preparing this week's Meditation, we were profoundly moved by Bishop Strickland's May 5th reflection on the Conclave and made the decision to share it with our readers. As we were putting the final touches on the Meditation, we learned the news of the election and we join all Catholics in praying for the Church in this new situation. However, we still wish to include the words of Bishop Strickland, believing that they continue to offer helpful light and understanding.

"The Passion leads to the Resurrection:
A reflection as the conclave convenes."

An excerpt from Message of  April 10, 2025
"Receive My Mercy"

Jesus speaks:

“The Mercy of God is unfathomable.”

Do you understand what this means, My little ones, all that is encompassed in these brief words?  And what the response of your soul to them should be?

My Mercy has no bounds.  It stretches from eternity to eternity.  It covers all that is created, reaching into the depths, soaring to the Heights.  Light as a caress, powerful as a rushing stream, vast as the skies and the seas.

Fruitful and bountiful.  Bringing Peace and Healing.

Drawing you as a magnet to the Heart of the Father.

My Mercy is unfathomable.

It cannot be comprehended, encompassed by your minds, My children.  My Mercy acts outside of the bounds of time.  It is ever present and ever active.  Tireless in bringing you hope and light and strength to reconcile with the Father, to approach His Throne, His Heart.  To return to Him and be able to say, “Abba, Father” once again.

Since We Are Being Accused of Schism
and there is some confusion about it,
we encourage you to read this statement
from our website which says in part:

"...Eminent canonists recognize, however, that one who has sincere and reasonable doubts about the legitimacy of the ostensible pope cannot be charged with schism. Such a person is not willfully refusing to submit to one he knows is the pope—true schismatic behavior—but rather refusing to submit to one he precisely believes is not the true pope. "

All part of keeping the Mission going...

Steve pauses to survey the work on the renovation of the porch behind St. Raphael's. In addition to replacing the decking, it is getting a roof to create some shade from the Texas sun. Seems like a good place for a porch swing!

Lisa%20Labels.jpegLisa, one of our generous volunteers, applies labels to a new shipment of Holy Water bottles--that will be filled and blessed on the first Tuesday of June-- to replace those that fly off the shelves of our Sacramental House.  She even appears to be dressed for the occasion...

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a comment or testimony. We ask that prayer intentions be placed at Prayer Request on our website.

Every time you go to church or to the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus asks you, "Friend, why have you come?" and the answer is always the same: "Jesus, to love you." ~Luis

It is evident that the Holy Spirit illuminated Father Juan María's words during his Easter Sunday homily: "God acted with power when humanly there was no solution. Today, the Church lives her agonizing Passion, but she prepares for God's divine action in her." JESUS, IN YOU WE TRUST!~ Pilar

God bless you in your work! ~Alexander

Thank you for your prayers. Our Blessed Mother sought to spare us a bitter pill during the elections, and communism was buried at the polls. May the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Mary, and St. Michael the Archangel continue to protect, guide, and defend the courageous apostolate of the Divine Mercy Mission.~Pilar

Thank you for considering making a donation in support of  MDM. Your donations go directly to the Mission of Divine Mercy Inc. which as of March 2024, is considered "not an approved Catholic apostolate of the Archdiocese of San Antonio." The Mission has no regular source of income.  Every bit of support comes from people like you; people who God introduces to the Mission.  We try to steward your money wisely and make each dollar work hard for Him and for His people.
