Our next Ujima Open Meeting is TONIGHT on Zoom
December 8, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:30pm EST
Time: Wednesday, Dec 8th, 6PM EST | Location: Zoom Only
6:00PM-7:15PM - Co-Learn: This week at #UjimaWednesdays, we are offering a special opportunity to Ujima Voting Members to review our next potential investment with us! Bring your questions and comments to Co-Learn for a live review and Q&A session on the credit memo with members of the Ujima Fund Management Team, Investment Committee, and Dorchester Food Coop.
During this session you will:
1) Learn about the Dorchester Food Co-op (DFC), which is seeking investment from the Ujima Fund
2) Review DFC’s information to see if you have questions or need clarification
3) Share your insights to help Ujima decide if DFC could be a good investment
Voting for Ashe Ashe Cultural Assembly Ballot is LIVE!
Voting for the Ashe Ashe Cultural Assembly is now live! Ujima members now have the opportunity to vote on grants for artistic and cultural projects developed by local BIPoC artists and organizers.
These projects can be anything from block parties to public art. In addition, we will be gathering feedback from BIPoC artists to create a feasibility study for projects that the Ujima Fund can invest in at a later time.
Explore the online exhibition here, and log into the Voting Commons through your Ujima Member Portal to cast your vote by December 1st, 2021.
On December 8th we will be running live voting and phone banking sessions to help get out the vote during #UjimaWednesdays from 7:15-8:30PM EST. New to Phone Banking? Don't worry! Our sessions will provide you with all the tools you need to get started.
Phonebanking is one of the most important actions you can take to support our Ashe Ashe 2021 Cultural Assembly Ballot from home. You’ll call/text voters to provide voting reminders and to encourage our supporters to return their ballots.
Last week, we held our monthly Co-Direct meeting with Ujima Staff. Watch the recap to hear more about the Cultural Assembly Voting Process, our Dorchester Food Co-op Credit Memo, and more.
