"Xenia is the Greek word for Hospitality, and One Bistro couldn't represent that better. This place is a beacon of hope and model for all of society. It is staffed by the most pleasant volunteers and the food is wonderful. It is a "pay what you can" concept that benefits those who give, as much as those that receive. We are all One, and One Bistro brings us all together.

Julie and Ken Norman have been volunteering for almost a year now! They even started bringing friends with them to serve the community and give back to those in need. One Bistro is one joyful place when this group serves!
Julie says, “We like volunteering at One Bistro because it gives everyone an opportunity to grow. People with food insecurities can work and get a meal in exchange for their time given, customers can pay it forward and help people in need, and anyone can volunteer to support One Bistro so that they can do more for Xenia and its neighbors.”

Ivy and her mom had lunch at One Bistro a few weeks ago. Ivy noticed the chalkboard where the number of pay-it-forward meals was listed, and she decided she wanted to help feed her neighbors as well! She set up a lemonade stand and from her proceeds, she paid forward half of what she earned to the bistro!! What a sweet and generous young lady! 🥰 |
