Board Transitions Mark Start of New Fiscal Year
As Shelter Youth & Family Services embarks on a new fiscal year, we welcome a season of exciting transitions. With gratitude for the strong leadership that has guided us and enthusiasm for what’s to come, we look forward to a year of growth, fresh perspectives, and even greater impact for the children and families we serve.
MEET INCOMING PRESIDENT, LINDSAY TINTERA
We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Tintera as Shelter's new Board President. Lindsay has served as a board member for three years and brings with her a deep personal commitment to Shelter’s mission and over two decades of strategic leadership in marketing.
“My journey as a foster and adoptive parent has given me profound appreciation for Shelter’s mission, and I’m excited to work alongside our dedicated leaders and staff," says Tintera. "Together, I look forward to building strong partnerships within the community to help advance this vital work.”
A heartfelt thank you to Rebecca Helkowski for her outstanding leadership and strategic vision over the past three years as President of Shelter’s Board of Directors. Under her guidance, Shelter experienced significant growth and increased impact while celebrating the milestone of a half-century of service. As she transitions into the role of Vice President, we are grateful to have Rebecca's continued insight and expertise to help shape Shelter’s future.
GOODBYE WITH GRATITUDE Larry Collins
After five years of dedicated service on Shelter’s Board of Directors, Larry Collins is stepping down. Throughout his tenure, Larry has played a pivotal role in identifying potential risks and guiding the organization through effective mitigation strategies. Beyond the boardroom, Larry has been a committed volunteer for nearly a decade, always willing to lend a hand at fundraising events, roll up his sleeves to paint an office or share his expertise on various committees. We are so grateful for Larry's unwavering support and dedication to helping children and families build brighter futures.
