CAMP IS HERE!
A Letter from our Camp Co-Directors:
Dear Ryan,
All day today, Session I campers are making their way to Camp and starting their CRS journey. We are so excited to welcome our 60 girls and non-binary campers into the CRS global family!
Participants will have traveled from 21 countries, including South Africa, Denmark, Ukraine, Zambia, Cameroon, Israel, Japan, across the United States, and more!We are also incredibly proud of our dedicated team of Summer Staff, the majority of whom are new to CRS. They have been cheerfully and diligently training together to ensure that this season is nothing short of extraordinary. Their passion and commitment to nurturing and guiding our campers is truly inspiring! In honor of the Summer 2024 season and the incoming additions to our alumni community, we invite you to make a one-time or recurring gift of $24 today! Every dollar will support this year's camper experience—from covering their travel expenses to maintaining our beautiful campuses. As this summer's Camp Co-Directors, we thank you in advance for your support of CRS 2024!Stay tuned for exciting updates from Camp Rising Sun and our campers throughout the next couple of months! With gratitude,Raven Joakims ('18, '19, '22) & Margeaux Sullivan ('23)
MEET THE CRS SUMMER STAFF
For the past couple of weeks, CRS Summer Staff members have been getting to know one another during their staff training and preparing to meet campers. Amidst workshops and skill-building, staff members have made time for exploration and team bonding, with their experiences directly mirroring the experience that campers will have. Read all about the staff training on our blog now!
"Among our staff team, we’ve witnessed friendships bloom, teamwork flourish, and camaraderie fill every corner of our grounds. We’ve tackled challenges and celebrated successes, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a magical environment for every member of our community."-Diana Dalton, Summer Camp Counselor (CRS '23)
Gather with CRS alums from around the world in picturesque Szteklin in Poland! Sight-see, enjoy meals and activities with friends—new and old, and reminisce about your time at Camp.
The Reunion will take place at a stunning historical estate dating back to 1823. Nestled beside a lake, the beautiful larch manor is surrounded by majestic lime trees and ancient oak monuments. The estate also features a charming historic stable and granary, providing a serene backdrop for the gathering.

Our first annual Summer Reception was a success! We were joined by friends, neighbors, fellow local organizations, and of course our Summer Staff! CRS is proud to be a part of the vibrant Hudson Valley Community and are excited for even more people in our area to learn about our programs and its global impact. Head over to our blog to see a photo gallery of the event:
Big thanks to the alumni and friends who joined us for our annualVolunteer Day! Along with our Operations Team, volunteers raised tents on the lean-tos where our campers sleep. This is always a group effort and it's so satisfying to see these homes-away-from-home come together.
