Bicycle Indiana is electing six new members for our 2023-2026 Board of Directors, and we need your votes to select which of the passionate and dedicated candidates will to join our board this year. They will join our existing board members to guide the organization, provide oversight, and work on bike advocacy and education initiatives.

Subaru CASA Cycling Challenge, August 5

The Subaru CASA Cycling Challenge is an extreme cycling event that allows individuals and teams to test their endurance over a 24-hour period while raising funds for children in need. The ride is held on the 2-mile test track at Subaru of Indiana in Lafayette.

Over 35 years and still rolling.  Setting out from Kokomo, multiple bike event routes are available with distances of about, 40, 60, and 80 and even a 100-mile century bicycle tour.  Several SAG stops to refresh and refuel along the way.  Taking advantage of the best road conditions for the year, the road cycling routes cover gently rolling Indiana “hills” along lightly traveled roads and wooded creeks, between farmland and through some of the small towns of Howard County, Indiana.

 

Wabash River Ride, August 26

At the 45th Wabash River Ride, you will experience the varied landscape of North-Central Indiana on either paved or gravel roads - your choice! Our routes will take you in and out of the Wabash River and Big Pine Creek watersheds, iconic landmarks such as the Fountain County Church, Rob Roy Covered Bridge and historic Williamsport Bridge, and rolling hills around the farmlands and the river valleys that make for a fun and challenging ride. Join cyclists of all levels for well-organized and supported routes from 16 to 101 miles through Tippecanoe, Fountain, and Warren counties. Whether you are seeking pavement or gravel roads, the WRR has something for everyone!

The 14th annual Dam to Dam Ride is going to be our best year yet! This bike tour takes riders past 16 historic points of interest! We are stoked to have you ride among hundreds of cyclists from across the country! As always, breakfast and lunch is included with registration, thanks to our generous sponsors!

 

IU Health North Hospital Roundabout Ride, September 16

The City of Carmel and Bike Carmel will be hosting the inaugural Roundabout Ride on Saturday, September 16 at 8 a.m., sponsored by IU North Hospital. This fun event will have two distance options, 25 miles and 50 miles; the costs will be $45 for the 25-mile option and $65 for the 50-mile option. $5 of each registration will be donated to the Rollfast Foundation for suicide prevention.

 

7th Annual Tour de Komen, September 23

The Tour de Komen is a 100-mile cycling event, beginning in Fishers, IN and ending in Terre Haute, with a closing celebration at The Mill concert venue. The Tour de Komen raises critical funds for Susan G. Komen, advancing our research and funding for our Financial Assistance Program.

 

23rd Annual Raintree Ride, September 23

The 23rd annual Raintree Ride, sponsored by Healthy Communities of Henry County, is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 23, starting at the Henry County YMCA, 300 Wittenbraker Avenue in New Castle. Registration starts at 8 am and the Ride begins at 8:45 am. 

The annual Raintree Ride features a 6, 30, and 60 mile scenic bicycle ride through Henry County and offers opportunities to see the beautiful Wilbur Wright Trail, Big Blue River Valley, Wilbur Wright Birthplace, and Knightstown’s historic Hoosier Gym, featured in the 1986 movie, “Hoosiers.” Homemade snacks and water will be offered at stops along the routes and also at the end of the ride.   A complimentary long sleeve t-shirt will be given to the first 40 participants who register by Sept. 17th. Registration fees are $35. Cost for 2021 participants is $25. Registration will continue up until the start of the event.  Shirts-and in particular shirt sizes-are not guaranteed to participants who register after the 17th.
