2025 is off to a great start! Several building upgrades and enhancements, as well as new programming, have taken place! It is a joy to be able to share the good news with you!

We will be one of the participating nonprofit beneficiaries in the Birdies for Charity Texas Children's Houston Open, a stop on the PGA Tour! The top 15, +4 at-random fundraisers will get substantial grants to further their work! Every dollar raised goes back to OCWH at 100%. All you have to do is guess the amount of birdies the PGA pros will make that day! The winner gets a grand prize!
$20 – 1 guess
$40 – 2 guesses
$50 – 3 guesses
$100 – 6 guesses
$200 –10 guesses

Phase One of our capital campaign is part of a 3-Year Strategic Plan. This phase includes updating our facility to state-of-the-art, best in class standards. Our clients deserve it. This will include: 1) external improvements 2) internal upgrades 3) enhanced technology, and 4) energy efficiency.
We are now at over $370K, of a $500K goal, pledged!
Our first yoga class was a real blast. Folks of all ages, at every level of physical ability, showed up. We look forward to this weekend's next yoga class. All are welcome! It is never too late to improve your health and mental wellbeing!
Our partnership with Houston Furniture Bank is now a partnership with The Furniture Bank. They may have rebranded, but their services remain in tact and stronger than ever. Many families continue to be blessed through our partnership with The Furniture Bank, like these two youngsters at their new dining table!
Filtered water, fresh as a spring, now awaits you! We removed our previous fountains and now have a water bottle friendly fountain. A neat feature to the new addition is a counter that indicates how many plastic bottles have been saved from landfills. We are upwards of 300 bottles so far! That said, keep a bottle in your car when you are at the center to give it a try!

Striving to keep our center well kept is our way of saying we love and value you! You deserve it. Hopefully you noticed the fresh, new rugs we brought in. Well, that's one of our "we love you" items. Our goal is to keep the tracking of dirt indoors to a minimum, while adding a pleasant-looking detail to the lobby.

The Energy Corridor District is gearing up for the return of their signature spring festival, energyfest! This free community festival is happening on Saturday, April 5th from 12-5pm at Addicks Park & Ride. The afternoon will be packed with live music, carnival games, rides, a beer garden, and an opportunity to connect with businesses and organizations in and around the district.
