If You Walk, Bike, or Drive…
We want to talk! Know a business or group that would benefit from a safety presentation that educates people on the vulnerability of humans outside of cars and reminds drivers of their responsibility to share our roads safely? Contact Paula, HBL’s Walk Bike Drive Coordinator to set up a talk (flexible times!) - email Paula@HBL.org.
E-bikes Are Bikes!
Yes, electric bikes are bicycles (and no, e-biking isn't "cheating"). Come out to an E-Bikes 101 workshop (free and presented by your friends at HBL!) and learn why HBL supports these low-speed electric bicycles, get up to speed on what's allowed on our roadways & bike lanes, and even try one yourself!
The Honolulu Police Department has a publicly accessible onlinedatabase where you can check to see if a bicycle has been reported stolen by looking up the bike’s VIN number or C&C decal. If you’re thinking about buying a second-hand bike from a private party, do your due diligence to ensure you’re not getting stolen property. Check out HPD’s Stolen Bicycle Database here »
