Celebrating the Success of the WGEP Library

Last month, we proudly announced the opening of the WGEP Library and Computer Center in Tharaka Nithi, Kenya! This new space is already serving as a vibrant hub for learning, literacy, and community engagement. Since its opening, the library has been bustling with young people visiting, borrowing books, and using the computers provided in the center.

We’re deeply grateful for your support in helping us reach this major milestone, and we’re excited to see the impact of the library continue to grow!

A Message from Ramata, Sisters to School Senegal Scholar

“My name is Ramata, and I am a recent high school graduate who has benefited from the Sisters to School program since 2015.

I would like to thank you because the program has accompanied me along a long path and paid for registration fees, school supplies, and toiletries. The program allowed me to meet with counseling psychologists who encouraged and motivated me to get my follow-up medical treatment and fight for my life in the future. I participated in training workshops on preventing gender-based violence and reproductive health.

All the efforts provided by the program have allowed me to become a mediator to help people living with chronic illnesses who refuse their treatments. I talk with them and their families to persuade them to seek treatment. I have been successful at this, and I am very proud, thanks to the support of the Sisters to School program.

At this time, I am getting in contact with health workers because I want to be a nurse and help others with their challenges. I want to help vulnerable people, and Women’s Global has helped me. Thank you with all my heart.”
