Thank You!
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We were so honored to see you all at Books by the Bay! Thank you for joining us to celebrate literacy and raise the funds that will help us propel our mission and our area's children into a beautiful future. We hope you enjoyed our seaside event, and that you felt the sense of purpose we did as we dedicated ourselves to our mission once again. We couldn't do it without you, and we are humbly grateful for all that each one of you do, not only for the South Sound Reading Foundation, but in the wider community as well. You deserve a huge round of applause! ⭐📚👏

We'd L🎃VE Your Gently Used Books!
Are you looking to clear out your child's bookshelf to make room for the new? The Reading Foundation needs your gently used children's books, especially:
Michelle Mewhinney-Angel grew up in Calaveras County of Mark Twain fame. Her earliest reading memory is being taught to read "Go Dog Go" by her parents, but she soon graduated to chapter books - and received the Little House on the Prairie books parceled out for birthdays and Christmases. While she still has those copies, none of the covers are extant and there are pages falling out.
Michelle was enticed to an early Books by the Bay by a Facebook ad that featured Nancy Pearl. Seeing Nancy and hearing Jennifer's story made her (and her husband, Eddie Angel) realize that this was a mission that they wanted to support. Michelle is a Realtor and gives back to the foundation from each house closing.
