Dear Friends,
I am writing to you today as the Chairman of the board of trustees for Protect Kids Colorado. We are currently engaged in our campaign to put three significant questions on the 2026 Colorado ballot. These initiatives are designed to protect children in our state by eliminating child mutilating surgeries for supposed “gender transitions," protecting girls' sports from biological males and increasing the criminal penalty for child sex trafficking.
Why must we, as Colorado citizens, take the extraordinary and very difficult step of launching these citizen initiatives? Because we have no other choice, if we want to protect children in Colorado.
The legislature has passed bills to require the state and private insurance companies to pay for gender mutilating surgeries and to go soft on crime, including for sexual predators. They have even criminalized parents who refuse to bow to the state’s demand that they never use the biologically correct pronouns of their child if that child has gender dysphoria (which PKC is currently challenging in court.)
Well over a thousand Colorado citizens have already volunteered to help and many tens of thousands have signed the petitions. But we still have a long way to go to complete this daunting task.
What can you do to help at this critical stage of the campaign? We need many more to carry the petitions. We also need more funds to finish strong and ensure these make the 2026 ballot. We are on a trajectory that is encouraging, but this is a volunteer effort and we need to back them up with supplies and other resources to support this significant effort.
To give us the flexibility we need to work in the initiative environment we chose to register as a 501(c)4 organization. Therefore donations are not tax deductible. This organizational structure gives us the ability to be more aggressive, and you can be assured that your donations will be used in the most cost-effective way possible.
Please be generous for these closing weeks we have to put these issues before the people of Colorado.
Sincerely,
Kevin Lundberg
Chairman of the Board, Protect Kids Colorado
P. S. We currently have a $25,000 matching challenge grant to encourage you to help us put these vital initiatives on the 2026 ballot!
