HDAC Public Meeting Tonight and an upcoming Community RCO Session on March 16

Dear ,

The Chestnut Hill Conservancy invites community members to attend tonight’s Historic District Advisory Committee (HDAC) meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 PM via Zoom.

The Conservancy maintains the Historic District Advisory Committee (HDAC), a volunteer committee comprised of professionals in preservation, architecture, planning, and development. The committee reviews projects affecting historic structures, properties, and open spaces within the Chestnut Hill National Register Historic District.

HDAC meetings are public meetings, and community members are welcome to attend.

In general, the HDAC evaluates projects using guidance from the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, the Philadelphia Zoning Code, and the Germantown Avenue Urban Design Guidelines for projects affecting the Germantown Avenue commercial corridor.

The HDAC also participates in Chestnut Hill’s Registered Community Organization (RCO) process for projects that require review by the Zoning Board of Adjustment or the Civic Design Review Committee.

Tonight’s meeting:

Thursday, March 5, 2026 | 6:30 PM
Virtual via Zoom

Community members may learn more and register to attend the HDAC meeting by clicking on the button below.

Upcoming Community RCO Session – March 16

The Conservancy also invites community members to attend a hybrid community RCO information session and Q&A on Monday, March 16, focused on the Chestnut Hill Development Review Process Pilot Initiative.

During the last several years, three of Chestnut Hill’s RCOs — Chestnut Hill Community Association, Chestnut Hill Business District, and Chestnut Hill Conservancy — worked together in response to community feedback to create a new model for the Development Review Process in Chestnut Hill.
