Dear Andre:
Happy New Year!
I have been enjoying reading your First Day Hike updates. Despite the weather, it sounds as they were very successful for both two and four legged participants.
Did you set any goals or resolutions for the new year? One of my intentions is more quiet time--time to reflect and be in the moment.
Thank you for all that you do!
See you outside,
Marci J. Mowery, President
PS: If you have any end-of-year donations, please send them in ASAP if they need to be considered for 2023. After January 12th, deposits will be considered in 2024 and letters to donors will state 2024.
TRAINING
As noted in the email sent earlier this week specifically on the subject, we'll be gathering chapter officers for a series of Zooms over the next several weeks for orientation or re-orientation. If this is you, please do join us! Again, note that all sessions are open to current and new chapter officers. We encourage you to attend - new officers benefit from the wisdom of those who already know how it all works; existing officers might learn a new trick or two!

KNOW
Speaking of quiet, did you know that the noise level of a park or forest influences people's' perceptions of place? Did you know that our brains need quiet time? To learn more, check out the newest in the PPFF video series with a click below.
It is annual report time! Why am I putting this in "Share?" Your annual report is a great tool for sharing your successes with members and donors. Consider it a tool for gathering the information that gives you bragging rights. You had how many volunteers? How many volunteer hours? What projects did you complete? All of this is good social media material and/or a quick letter to donors and members.
We look forward to receiving your annual report and inventory (if you sell items) so that we can amplify all of your successes!
(Get the report and inventory forms - and don't forget the required annual conflict of interest forms - at the Friends Resources page of the website.)
