A Call for True Reparation

The following is from a statement by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops:

"This year, on June 16- the day of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - a professional baseball team has shockingly chosen to honor a group whose lewdness and vulgarity in mocking our Lord, His Mother, and consecrated women cannot be overstated. This is not just offensive and painful to Christians everywhere; it is blasphemy.

"It has been heartening to see so many faithful Catholics and others of good will stand up to say that what this group does is wrong, and it is wrong to honor them. We call on Catholics to pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart on June 16, offering this prayer as an act of reparation for the blasphemies against our Lord we see in our culture today."

Archbishop Gustavo has asked all churches in our archdiocese to make participation in the Litany available to their people. We will be praying the Litany at our Mass today. We also wish to make the Litany available through the link below.

Treasure and Refuge
 In Their Hearts

Solemnity of the Sacred Heart
Friday, June 16

Today, on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart, Jesus opens His Heart to you as a royal doorway, inviting you to enter into the recesses of His Being, of His Love.
His Heart is immense and all that you need is there.
His Heart beats like yours.  It has lived the same emotions and anguish, in order that all the Children of God could find a refuge in Him.
He invites us to bring all souls to Him,
trusting fully in His Mercy and Justice.
Seal them in His Heart, where there is room for all. He is the only One who can help all!

Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Saturday, June 17

Mary's Immaculate Heart is like the great Storehouse in which you find everything to be able to fulfill the Will of the Father. This is because Mary knows what it is to obey the Will of the Father in everything and at every moment of one's life.

Mary's Heart is the Fountain of Tenderness and Rest where you may go to recover your strength in the arms of Your Mother who loves you so much and watches over you day and night.

Remain in the Refuge of Her Heart and bring everyone to Her in spirit so that Her Mantle of Protection may cover all.

A NETWORK OF TRUST

"This is what MDM is called to be: a growing communion of trust in His Mercy for our needy world." ~ Fr. John Mary

MDM started encouraging people to pray "Jesus, I trust in You"  ten times a day back in 2011. Recently we felt it was important to remind people to turn to Jesus with this simple, powerful prayer in a world that feels more and more out of control. We are suggesting 20 times, but some people find themselves repeating it hundreds of times. It reminds our troubled souls that GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Many of you have put your name on our growing list and have also left a prayer intention or testimony:

Oh my Jesus. Trusting you has empowered me in ways I didn’t know possible. Daily I face spiritual battles that wear me out. Only by surrendering to Divine Assistance is my soul at rest. Jesus, my Jesus I trust you to order my steps in accordance with God’s amazing plan. ~Jill

If you can’t trust Jesus, who can you trust? Jesus I Trust in You, 20 times is easy now. I say it many times when I’m driving instead of saying what I used say! !~ Ronnie

"Jesus I Trust In You!" I will continue to claim God's Promise - Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 .  I believe I did the best I could as a mom. I need prayers now for me. May our Lord Jesus Christ, place in my heart, Soul and mind to just trust Him and to be able to learn to "Live and Let Live" and to "Let go and let God" handle the rest of my journey now that they are adults. Praying in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen! ~Guadalupe
