The Topic Launch is an opportunity for businesses of all classifications to interact with NAVAIR SBIR/STTR Programs Office representatives and technical points of contact. Engage one-on-one with topic authors, ask questions about 25.1/A-released topics and learn more about the SBIR/STTR process.

SAVE THE DATE: Friday, January 17, 2025 -The 2025 St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair (SMCSEF) at the USMSM SMART Building. The award ceremony is on the same afternoon. The Science Fair is open to the St. Mary’s County residents, and is the perfect venue for students to share their talents in experimental methodologies, engineering design and testing, and other scientific projects.

Maryland Apprenticeship Connector Launches 'Apprentice Connect' Website to Strengthen Statewide Workforce Pipeline - Apprentice Connect, was designed to simplify access to apprenticeship programs by offering tailored information based on the user’s role and location. By providing localized resources across Maryland’s counties and cities, the platform ensures direct connection to the people, organizations, and programs that matter most in our communities. The launch of this platform at TPP on Oct 17th is especially timely as Maryland continues to build momentum in addressing workforce shortages through innovative programs like the Apprenticeship Maryland Program (AMP). During the 2023-2024 school year, AMP celebrated significant milestones, with over 1,000 active youth apprentices and more than 300 approved employers participating across the state. Programs like AMP are critical in expanding opportunities for non-traditional industries and ensuring that Maryland’s future workforce is diverse, skilled, and ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
